Eden had been pampered by a very amiable governess, who had made her take off her soaked clothes, found her a very nice bathrobe, and put her to bed with a cup of tea and a plate filled with delicious biscuits.
Against all odds, the young lady had fallen asleep from a dreamless sleep, for nearly two hours.
Neither the housekeeper nor the maid who had woken her up and helped her get dressed had asked her any questions.
Eden was stunned by so much luxury, comfort, and discretion.
The latter would probably be quickly damaged, but Eden felt like she was regaining her strength, and she needed it.
