Chapter 8

Being married to a prince sounded thrilling, but it came with its fair share of challenges. Since our hasty wedding, Ryder had been consumed by his duties as the heir of the Blood Moon Pack, leaving him little time to spend with me. I couldn't fault him for it, but his constant absence did leave me feeling somewhat neglected. Thankfully, his nanny, Aurora, made the situation more bearable. She treated me like her own daughter, providing comfort and companionship in Ryder's absence.

As the weeks passed, I grew closer to Aurora. One morning, I woke up earlier than usual, eager for Ryder's return from his out-of-town responsibilities with the pack elders.
