"I don't remember agreeing to your terms, Ryder. You know what? We can make our lives easier with a divorce," I suggested, raising an eyebrow.

Attempting to focus on the movie, I found it difficult as Ryder's signature scent continued to assault my senses. His familiar perfume made my knees weak, despite my efforts to avoid inhaling it.

"Just leave me alone, Ryder. Go away. Go to Astrid or whoever it is this time," I urged, hoping to send him away.

"No. I will stay," he insisted.

"Why are you so stubborn? What do you want from me?" I asked, frustration evident in my voice.

"Come home with me. I miss you, Nova. Aurora misses you too," he said, his tone pleading.

"I don't want to," I replied firmly.

"Why not?" he demanded, glaring at me.

"Did you not hear me earlier? I am not going back home, Ryder," I reiterated, but he abruptly grabbed my arm, forcing me to face him.
