Time passed, and unexpected events continued to shape my life. One evening, there was a knock on my door. It was one of my father's loyal guards and his eyes filled with worry.

"Miss Chloe," he said urgently. "Something bad has happened. Your father, the Alpha, has gone missing."

I was shocked. "Missing? How? What happened?" I asked, my voice trembling.

The guard explained that my Dad and his beta went hunting but only the Beta was able to come back home. The beta was heavily wounded and he claimed that a group of rogues had attacked them while hunting.

The beta had taken control of the pack while my father was still missing. The guard had managed to escape and had come to find me, knowing that I was the rightful heir and the one who could lead the pack back to its rightful place.

Tears filled my eyes as I tried to process the news. My father was missing, and our pack was in the hands of a traitor. The responsibility fell on my shoulders.
