Chapter 20. The Journey

Before the break of dawn, the adepts had gathered on the Academy's porch. Some had already invigorated drunk tea in the morning and paced back and forth, checking if they had taken everything they needed. Some leaned against the doorframe, still half asleep, while others yawned, expressing their desire to sleep for another hour in their soft beds.

Dawn was beginning to break, and the silence was only interrupted by the delicate chirping of birds. In the distance, dogs barked as if beckoning a new day.

Lyra sat under the sprawling branches of a willow tree. The faint breeze gently caressed her body.
