Lyra stood on the tower's balcony, her gaze fixed on the bustling city below. From her vantage point, she could see the city stretch out in every direction, sprawling outwards until it faded into the horizon. The red rooftops of the houses formed a labyrinthine network of streets, which made up the Empire's capital, Myrindale.
