The ruffling of the duvet woke me as I turned around, immediately becoming alert.

“Morning?” Danica said to me. She seemed to be clearing off some things in Ronan’s room.

“Where is he?” I asked her with my eyes darting to and fro the room scared that he might still be loitering around.

“Who? Your master?” she asked as if she knew of someone else who was in the building.

“Yes, I’m talking about him.”

“He’s down having breakfast, but he did make mention of going out soon for any reason?” Danica asked me while eyeing me suspiciously.

“No, not much, just that I did tell him to go out today. I’m just not sure I’m permitted to,” I explained to Danica, mentally calculating the time and schedule for escape.

“Yeah, he did mention something like that, but I am amazed at how you do things. You dared to ask master Ronan for air?” Danica asked in disbelief.

“Yes, I just asked. I needed space.”
