Perhaps it could be a coincidence, or maybe something had happened, and it had something to do with her.
“What should we do, sir?” the voice asked me once more.
“Run a face search on him and send the picture to my phone. Once you recognize who it is, make sure you run a background search and send the file to my phone. Do that as soon as possible. I want answers today,” I ordered.
“Yes, sir, I’m on it,” he said and ended the call.
I walked toward my bed, holding my temples as I developed a splitting headache.
Why was everyone not doing their jobs right? Why would Sophie run out on a highly skilled bodyguard, and now a stranger who knew nothing, a mere stranger, walked in and out of my land twice with the whole security team on alert?
