Chapter 116. My New Home, Sadly

Leah’s POV

Knock knock knock. 

My breath hitched in my throat and I sat up on the bed. Someone was knocking at the door. I stared at it, waiting for the sound again and there it was. Knock knock knock. 

I dragged myself from the bed and walked towards the source of the sound. I reached for the doorknob and I twisted it, causing the door to open. Standing there was Jules. He was dressed casually but had a tight frown on his face. 

I could see in his eyes that there was pity though. He avoided looking me in my eyes for too long. “It’s time to leave. I will be the one taking you to The Hole.” 

I swallowed, my heart skipping a beat at the mention of the place. I let out a shaky breath and forced a smile as I nodded. Then I looked back at the room one more time before finally walking out and following the guy down the hallway. 

He did not say anything to me and I did not say anything to him either. We just walk
