Leah’s POV

I didn’t know what to do, but I did know that I was shocked, if not taken aback. I sat there, watching Rafael’s mom, her eyes filled with tears and pain.

“I was going to get revenge, and nothing was going to stop me,” she explained, adjusting her bag that was on her lap before reaching in again and taking out the flash.

She opened it and took a long drink before closing it and putting it back. 

I was wondering why the detective had not come back yet, or why guards had not come to collect me to take me to my jail cell, but then I pieced together that Rafael’s mom had most likely already talked with them and had enough time in here with me as she wanted.
