Leah’s POV

That means that I was right all along, Jules could be trusted. My gut was right. But I was more concerned about how I was going to get out of this life that I have been forced into.

“How are you going to help me?”

“It’s not that easy.”

I sighed, and I could feel some disappointment, but I tried my best to hide it. “Alright, but you’re going to at least try, right?”

Kate smiled. “Yes. Jules helped me, and it almost cost him. A few guards found out what he did and from that day, they continue to blackmail him, making him do all kinds of things just so his secret can remain hidden.”

“And he does not have much of a choice, because if Rafael’s parents find out, they won’t hesitate to have him disappear,” I said, putting more of the pieces together.
