Chapter 41. Gaslighting
Leah’s POV
It was Rafael’s father and he had a look on his face that caused my heart to skip a beat. He didn’t look happy at all.
And to make matters worse, followed by him was his wife. She looked like sh*t, and I already knew why.
I mean, she was still a very attractive woman, but it was clear that she was hung over. Her husband must have dragged her from bed.
“We need to talk. Sit down,” he commanded and I did as he asked, sitting on the bed. He ran his eyes over me, taking in my appearance before looking into my eyes again.
His wife sat down while he stood. She was not far from me, and she looked like she was going to throw up at any second.
Her eyes had bags under it and a tight frown sat on her face. “Tell her,” she said to her husband.
The man placed his hands in his pockets and peeled his eyes off his wife before looking at me. “How did you manage to get out of this room last night?”
