Chapter 48. Confidence

Leah’s POV

Oh, how I wished that I was born confident. Some people say that you learn it; that you have to teach yourself it. Or that it is taught by your parents or guardians at a young age. 

But personally, I think you have to be born with it. If not, then you’re just like me—unlucky. And if you’re unlucky like me, then that means that you either have to teach yourself it or you have to fake it. 

Right now, I did not know how to feel. At first, I kind of felt embarrassed. So many eyes were on me. But I think when I started feeding on the energy of Sasha, it disappeared. The nervousness faded and I felt different. 

I felt like I was not faking it or had to learn it. I felt like I was born with it…like I was born with confidence. 

My chin was high, and my walk became even more purposeful. Sasha was still holding my hand and that really helped too. It was like she was trying to say to me that she was there for me and
