“Let us go, Robert,” I took another step forward, trying to block Leila, Luca, and Jocelyn from his view.

Chills ran down Robert burst out laughing. “Why would I? Since this is the moment I have always waited for.”

“You are surrounded,” Stefano growled, closing in. “This is over.”

“I don’t think so,” he returned, the gun rising. The gleam in his eye had seemed to shine with spite. “You are not leaving alive.”

“This isn’t about them,” I pressed, trying to force my point without letting my head blur. “You’re only using them in your sick game.”
