Chapter 37. It’s All Love

Adeline’s POV

“Father!” I blurted out, my back still turned to him, but I knew.

I didn’t have to see his face to recognize his voice or tell he was the one.

Not just his voice but I knew It could be no one else. He was the one who always brought up such talks over and over again.

“I’m glad you know it’s me,” he said.

I exhaled softly, then bent down to look at the little girl. “Your brother will help you home, right?” I asked gently.

“Yes, I will,” the boy answered, nodding as he held his sister’s tiny hand.

“Thank you so much, Luna,” he said sincerely before lifting her carefully into his arms.

I smiled at them as they walked away, then turned to face my father.

“Why act like a mother to many nations when you could have your own?” My father said.

“Father!” I snapped, I wasn’t sure I had any more patience left in me again. “Enough with this same old talk.”

“When the Moon Goddess is ready to bless us, she will,”
