Chapter 41. Go Back Home
Iris’s POV
“I can’t recall any Adele in the pack.”
“She’s the pack’s doctor. Her name is quite long, and...” she started to explain, but I cut her off sharply.
“Oh, fuck!” I was frustrated this point. “You were given just one task. Just a simple task, and you couldn’t even carry it out properly.”
“I already told you to stop feeling like you can order me around,” she snapped. “This isn’t your pack and you aren’t the beta’s daughter here.”
I turned away from her, muttering whispering to myself, “I wonder who’s better between you and Oliver.”
She didn’t hear me. Or maybe she chose to ignore it. My baby has began to cry again, she was just a pest.
I sighed and walked over to the cradle, lifting her into my arms, rocking her gently. Slowly, her wails softened then it stopped.
“Adeline,” June blurted out suddenly.
I froze. Turning back to her, I smiled slightly, still cradling my baby.
“Oh... you saw her?” I asked, curious
