Adeline’s POV
“You caught up so fast, Adeline. I didn’t even believe you’d be able to do so well,” Rosa said, shaking her head with admiration.
“It’s just been six months, Rosa, and you’re making me feel like I’ve been doing this for years.”
“You’ve been handling everything so well,” she insisted. “And you haven’t even told me about you and Theodore.”
I blushed at the mention of his name. My cheeks went red instantly without me even knowing it.
I shifted the papers in my hands, pretending to focus on them.
“Well…” I trailed off, then smiled softly. “We’ve been really fine these past few months.”
“It’s all over your face!” Rosa teased, nudging me slightly. “Anyone could tell he’s probably head over heels for you.”
“Really?” I asked, amused but curious.
