Chapter 41. Over My Dead Body

Adele's POV 

Chris appeared back in front of me within minutes with a plastic bag in his hand. I raised a brow at it first before looking up at him. 

He bent down in front of me and held my right leg over his left knee.

"What are you doing?" I asked immediately with wide eyes. 

He removed both of my heels before reaching into the plastic bag. He pulled out two fluffy things and I furrowed my brows at them. 

"What are those?" I asked Chris as he slid my right foot into one of the fluffy things. 

"I don't know. I found them in the mart nearby," Chris replied before standing up on his feet. 

"Try walking in those, instead of those goddamn heels. They are much more comfortable to walk in," he said to me, worry all over his face. 

I looked down at the things on my feet and I smiled a bit. They are blue and they have bunny ears and eyes on them. I moved my feet in them before standing on my feet.
