Jason's POV

Apart from the James issue he was having, something felt off with Kitty. I mean, she is still as supportive and caring as ever, but she has been having her own private little meetings with everyone apart from him. He felt left out, and also, he was having trouble trusting her.

One wouldn't blame him; after discovering that his ex-girlfriend and his friend both turned against him, he won't be surprised if Kitty betrays him, too. She would get a call and rush out of the firm, and when she gets back, she is all cagey with information, and it doesn't sit well with him. He has worked hard to build up his life, and it was going to hurt if the one person he depended on ruined that for him or even had a hand in it. I always perceived Kitty as a strong leader capable of making decisions on her own, but it got me anxious that maybe the pressure has gotten to her; she needs money more than anyone right now.
