Chapter 19. Brent, Let Me Go!
Beverley returned to the room with a tired face. She opened the door and immediately saw Brent, who was waiting for her on the sofa with a neat appearance. The man looked at her sharply.
“Why are you taking so long?” Brent sounded exasperated. Beverley sighed and, without saying anything, went straight into the bathroom.
Brent frowned. Why did that woman look upset and unhappy?
After a while, Beverley finally came out of the bathroom. Brent immediately ordered, “Get ready! We have to go meet potential investors.”
“What?” Beverley immediately shook her head. “No. I’m tired and don’t want to go anywhere. You go alone,” she said as she walked into the kitchen.
She took mineral water from a small refrigerator. When she was about to open the bottle cap, Brent snatched it away. “You must come.”
“Brent, stop forcing me!” Beverley exclaimed in annoyance. “If I say I don’t want to go with you, then I don’t want to!”
