Chapter 21. I Want to Eat You

The next day, Beverley and Brent finally returned to Los Angeles. It was earlier than the scheduled time. However, no one seemed to mind that.

After a long flight, they finally arrived at the airport. Brent left first, leaving Beverley with Jace. The man was in a hurry for some business.

“Ma’am, let me help you,” said Jace, who was about to carry Beverley. He was worried about the wound on the sole of her foot that had not yet healed.

“No need, Jace. I’ll just hold on to you.”

Jace finally extended his hand and led Beverley out of the airport. They got into their car and quickly returned home.

Meanwhile, Brent had gone not for work but to see Natalie. He entered a luxurious apartment inhabited by wealthy and prestigious people. The privacy and security there were very high, which made him feel more at ease.

He went up to the 12th floor and walked to one of the units. He inserted an access card and punched in some codes until the door opened.
