Chapter 10. The Royal Funeral

~Lillian's Pov~

It was the day of Dad's funeral, and all the pack Alphas, some Lunas, and noblemen in the country gathered to pay their respects.

Aldrich and Arsenio as the Betas, introduced everyone in attendance at the funeral.

I wasn't listening to the names of the Alphas he called, I was seated quietly close to the coffin and was staring blankly at it with a lot of thoughts running in my head.

A drunken noble stepped into the hall, with a bottle of whiskey clutched to his chest. He was in a black outfit and had a piercing on his ears.

Nobody stopped him as he stumbled over to Dad's coffin, and began to insult Dad's coffin.

Nobody was saying a word, they acted as if they didn't see or hear what the drunk noble was saying.

He said a lot of insults I couldn't say. What was wrong with him?

"...I have always known this was how you were gonna end up." He wagged his finger at Dad's coffin.
