Chapter 9. A Daughter’s Discovery
Lillian’s POV
My lost memories returned, and Mom, who had been watching me all this time, approached me slowly. She said she had been so scared to come to me, thinking I would hate her for what happened.
When she reached out to hug me, I let her and placed my head on her shoulder. Her arms wrapped around my body, and I couldn’t help but break down.
Dad left me when I needed him the most. There was still a lot I needed to learn from him, but he wasn’t here anymore.
Mom made an effort to spend almost every day with me after Dad passed. She didn’t leave my side for a minute.
I was putting on one of the dresses she got me in my bedroom, and she was teaching me how I should behave as royalty, as Dad’s funeral was coming up, and I would get to meet some of the nobles in the country.
