Chapter 65. A Night of Revelry

Lillian’s POV

I was feeling weary of the palace affairs and decided to visit the largest tavern in the pack. I rarely appear in public, and the townsfolk don’t recognize me.

My driver was the one who told me about the tavern, and he took me there. It was indeed large as he said. There was a dim light inside, and in the middle of the bar, a few people were dancing, swaying their bodies to the slow music blaring through the speakers.

I smiled. This was my first time in such a place, and I hoped I could forget my worries and enjoy my night here.

I ordered a drink, and I was given a cocktail. I didn’t realize I was light-headed, and after a few glasses, I was tipsy and getting drunk.

I drank more, and it seemed our drink was mixed with something I couldn’t identify that made us drunk.
