Aldrich’s POV

I peered out through the window of the cabin. Wolves surrounded us—the same ones that had been chasing us. They intended to kill the princess.

They were closing in on the cabin now. It was just Arsenio and me, and the princess was still unconscious.

“She’s the one, isn’t she?” Arsenio asked while staring at her as she slept. “The princess we have been looking for.” He added. He held the heirloom in his hands and examined it alongside the one on her neck.
