Chapter 8. The Bitter Farewell
Lillian’s POV
I woke up with a splitting headache. My throat felt sore, and my tongue was bitter. I squinted at the brightness shining above my head and slowly turned my head to the side.
I saw the familiar faces I had seen for the past few hours.
So it wasn’t all a dream? And everything that had happened was real?
The room was bigger than the first one I woke up in. I could see a walk-in closet at the side of the room and a bathroom door that was slightly open, lit by the chandelier that had almost blinded me.
Where was this place?
“You are awake,” one of the twins said. I stared at him for a while. What was his name again?
Aldrich?
“Do you feel any pain or discomfort?” he asked.
