Freya slipped by me, I tried to catch her attention but she was too quick. “Freya,” I said cheerily as she approached me, but her mind seemed to focus elsewhere.

‘Hmph,’ Connor said inside my mind ‘That was rude of her, wonder what’s up with her now.’

‘I’ve no idea Connor,’ I said in reply ‘But I need to find out, it’s not normal for a woman to ignore me.’
