“Your brother is, like, ten times smarter than both of us combined,” Katy said, one hand on the wheel as she guided Noah’s Jeep down the winding road from Alpha Enzo’s estate. “Honestly, he probably figured it out the second I showed up with his car keys. He’s not exactly oblivious, you know?”
Her voice was softer than usual, the kind of gentle that made me want to simultaneously cry and crawl under the seat.
“I just don’t get why you’re still keeping this from him,” she added. “He’s your brother. Your ride-or-die. He deserves to know.”
