Elena's POV.

I cautiously took a step forward, trying not to injure myself further, but suddenly I felt a searing pain. Something had pierced the skin under my foot, and I let out a loud scream as I struggled to pull my leg out. I tugged and pulled, but it was stuck.

My leg was bleeding, and I hissed in agony as I tried to take another step forward.

"Hello!" I yelled out, but my voice echoed back to me, unanswered. The silence was deafening, and I felt a wave of fear wash over me. I was alone, injured, and stranded in this desolate place.

I continued to move forward, my heart racing with every step. And then, in the distance, I saw it - a wall of flames that made my blood run cold. I turn around, only to see another inferno closing in from the opposite side.
