Chapter 57

Zeila's POV

Helga has the potion ready when I return to camp. She shows me how to use it in the bathroom behind her cabin, and then I rub a tiny bit all over my clean body after I freshen up. After I have a bath, I get into my freshly laundered clothing from the car. I'm still wearing my old clothing from when I first arrived in Golden Iris, even though they don't seem all that clean. I feel so much better now that I've had a bath. After Helga assists me with applying the potion, I'm prepared to go. I give her the money she asked for, wave to her, turn the car around, and drive away.

Now that the morning has progressed, more vehicles are on the road. I intend to take this trip in its entirety today. I choose to stay at a roadside hotel for some rest after several hours of driving and a few bathroom breaks. It's not a wonderful place, but all I need is tight security.
