Zac shifted uncomfortably as he leaned against the wall. For days he has been feeling some discomfort. He had excused himself to get some rest at home; a part of him was eager to get home to Simone. She would make him a pleasant medicine to cool his temperature, and he would be fit to return to his duty.

“Home must be a really pleasant place if all you want to do is return there,” Nathan, his second-in-command, teased.

Zac rolled his eyes playfully, trying to get his things together. “Home is the right word. She makes everything easy. I don’t know where she has been all my life, but I am at least grateful that I got to meet her eventually.”

Ivan, the youngest, snorted. “You are so drunk in love my lord. I would want a woman like Simone for myself, who makes heavenly muffins and tasty teas.” They all laughed at his words.
