Wayne chuckled as he heard her curse at him. He had one hell of a mate, didn’t he?
He reached the bedside and buried his face in his hands. He was tired, and it had nothing to do with physical stress. The news and Olive’s reaction to it were what were making his system feel completely drained. He had also just aroused his wolves with the prospect of finally marking their mate, and now the tension within him was running incredibly high. To make matters worse, those two internal wolves were still furious. He was a complete mess as he sat there.
“Well, it’s all good. We’ll deal with this,” he assured himself.
A few minutes later, his mate walked out of the bathroom. She was toweling her body dry and throwing daggers at him with her eyes.
“I’m hungry,” he said to her.
“So what?” was her reply. He smiled
