Chapter 12

Lucien was still consumed with thoughts of finding Daciana.

He was in the middle of planning a search party to find Daciana when a warrior burst into the room, panting and out of breath.

"Lucien, there's a woman downstairs who's asking to see you. She says it's urgent," the warrior exclaimed.

Lucien's heart skipped a beat. Could it be Daciana? He didn't wait for the warrior to finish. He ran downstairs as fast as he could. When he got to the bottom of the stairs, he saw a woman standing there, her face obscured by a hooded cloak.

Lucien was filled with a mix of confusion and anger as he looked into the face of the stranger standing at the entrance of the pack house. He had been expecting to find Daciana, not some unknown woman.

"Who are you, and why are you here?" Lucien demanded, his voice cold and filled with suspicion.

Silence

"Who are you? What do you want?" Lucien asked again.
