Chapter 18
As Agatha, the head witch, was brewing a potion in her cauldron, she couldn't help but overhear the hushed whispers of Killian and Sara. They were hatching a plan to destroy the lycan. Agatha felt a stirring of disappointment in her chest. She had raised Sara since the little girl was young, and she felt guilty that she could not protect the girl from the king.
As she listened more closely, her disappointment turned to fear when she heard Killian telling Sara to pretend to be the Lycan's mate. That's when Agatha knew that the young woman was not ready for the dangers that lay ahead. Agatha knew that if she didn't intervene, Sara would surely be captured and executed by the king's guards if her plan failed.
