Chapter 113. What Is the Password

I exhaled deeply, as I stared at the trees that whipped by us through the window of the carriage. Felix sat beside me, and so did Roy, Alex and Blair. The air was a bit tense, with unspoken words. I could not bring myself to utter a single word to them.

Felix took my hand in his and his sudden action made me look at him. He kept his eyes forward, his face stoic as he squeezed my hand. I squeezed it back, hoping it would provide a little bit of assurance that my words couldn’t.

The brothers had all agreed to my plan, of infiltrating the dark king’s palace by presenting myself to him. That way, I would be able to stop this plague and possibly find a cure for it. Although reluctant, they all agreed, on one condition; they follow me all the way, until I reached the dark kingdom.
