Chapter 23. I Missed You Suz

Suzie POV

The soft hum of the engine roared beneath me as I sat at the back seat of Asher’s car. Roy was seated beside me, and he would occasionally shoot me a glance. A small smile tipped at the corner of my lips as I remembered the words he had told me in class.

I had an idea of the kind of rewards Roy was expecting from me, but I was still very curious as to what exactly he wanted. I wanted to hear it from him.

“So Suz,” Asher spoke up, glancing at me through the rear view mirror. “I heard the drama class is gonna present something? You’re in the drama class right?”

I nodded. “Yeah, I’m in the drama class.”

“That means you’re gonna perform right?” Blair beamed.

“I can’t wait to see what you’ll perform. What’s your play going to be about?”
