Chapter 22. A Play Reward

Suzie POV

I turned the shower off, as the remnants of the warm water cascaded down my skin. I wrapped a towel around myself and made my way back into the room. I dried off and settled myself in front of the mirror.

My eyes, which were both filled with eye bags, was void of it. My skin was looking plump and clearer than it has ever been. Ever since my visit to the physiotherapy, the brothers had been extra protective and careful with me.

They had made me rest for days and I was not allowed to leave the room they had prepared for me, and I was also not allowed to do any work. It was quiet different from the life I knew, a life where I was beaten and worked to the bone like a slave.

It felt nice to be able to relax like this.

The cricket’s chirped and my eyes followed the sound to the window, and I saw that the sky was pitch black. I rose up from the chair and settled myself down into the comfort of the large queen sized bed.
