Sarah sat quietly in the mall hallway where Damon had left her, braced against the cold glass wall with her knees pressing into her chest as she aimlessly traced the patterns on the polished concrete floor.
This felt awfully like another déjà vu. Similar to that moment he chased her out of her introduction party, that same cruel dejection that ate at her bones had stirred up again as if she’d been brutally wronged.
