Chapter 44. Breakfast

~GABRIELLA'S POV~

I gently pushed the door to the alpha's room open. I backed in with the alpha's breakfast on a tray and carefully walked toward his table after shutting the door.

I dropped the tray carefully on the table, then turned to Steven. He was still asleep, and his hair was a mess. I smiled, watching him as he let out slow breaths quietly. I wondered what he was dreaming of.

I pushed out a sigh and turned around to leave. I was about to pull the door open when he suddenly called my name.

I turned around and saw that he had already sat up on his bed. “Yes, my lord?” I answered, turning around completely.

“You promised to have breakfast with me; where are you going?” He said.

“Technically, you ordered me to, but I didn't think you were serious,” I replied nervously.

“Come have a seat,” he said, and I slowly walked back to his table, pulled out a seat, and sat down quietly. Steven got up from the bed and walked into a mini bathroom wi
