~GABRIELLA'S POV~

"What am I to you?” I asked softly.

“What do you mean?” Steven asked me back, turning to me.

I paused for a moment to think about the question I just asked. I narrowed my eyes, and my brows furrowed. My fist tightened, and I let out a sigh. Even though I and Steven had gotten so close, I wasn't sure I was ready to hear the answer to that question; the time just wasn't right yet.

“Nevermind, my lord. Have a good day,” I said with a smile and turned to the door. As I wrapped my palm around its handle, I paused again and asked.

“Is going outside the mansion really important to you? You're managing the pack, so we'll see from inside here; why ever want to see the rest of this dark, twisted world?"
