Chapter 62. Rejected and Alone

Ivy's POV

I opened my eyes, but there was nothing but darkness around me. I turned around, looking for any sign of where I could be, hoping to see a glimpse of light. But there was nothing but deep darkness around me. It was as if my eyes weren't opened at all.

Was I dead?

The last thing I remembered was fighting those three men. Did I win? Did they overpower me? Did they kill me? But isn't the afterlife supposed to be bright?
