Chapter 61. Done With Hiding

Sean's POV

I'd never driven so fast in my life. Every time I looked at Ivy, she looked worse than before. Her clothes were becoming increasingly soaked with blood as she was still bleeding. Her skin had gone deathly pale and when I touched her skin, it was cold and clammy.

My hands trembled as I held on to the steering wheel, weaving through traffic and ignoring all speed limits. If anything happened to her…

I shook my head. I couldn't even think about it. Nothing would happen to her. We'd get to the hospital and she'd be fine. I had to make sure of that. I couldn't let anything happen to her.

After what felt like eternity, I finally pulled up to the hospital. I took her in my arms and rushed into the emergency room. She was promptly received by medical staff who asked me a bunch of questions. While they attended to her, I had to go and complete the admission process.
