Cassie’s POV

Following that exhausting day, we made the decision to grab some dinner, so we went to the steakhouse in the neighborhood. The fragrant aroma of the herbs, in addition to the scent of the succulent meat, greets us as soon as we go inside. It would appear that someone is getting overly excited at this very moment.

I gave Kaiden a mild dose of playful taunting by telling him, "You can stop drooling now, babe." I am aware of a way to infuriate him significantly. But, in any case, it doesn't matter how many times I try to test his patience, he can't stand up to me.

Don't pass judgment on me just yet, please. If you are a woman, I am aware that there have been instances when you have been bored, and out of nowhere you have felt like you want to pick an argument with your partner. I know this because I am a woman.

To be honest, I feel exactly like that right now.

"Hey, it's been a while since we ate outside," he said in defense of himself.
