Eliana’s POV

Justin wanted me to come with him to his apartment because his mom is leaving tomorrow. He wanted us to prepare a send-off dinner for her. I immediately agreed to cook a Filipino dish for his mom.

We grabbed the ingredients when we went to a Filipino store near my place. I’m planning to cook chicken adobo for his mom and pancit for him since he loved it the first time I cooked it for him.

The drive to his apartment was quiet. I felt sorry for doubting him, that’s what kept me occupied while he was driving.

“Are you okay?” he smiled at me. “What’s bothering you?” he asked.

“Oh! I’m fine, just tired from class,” I said.

“I’m sorry you still have to cook.”

“No, it’s fine. Totally fine, it’s for your mom. I’d love to do it for her,” I assured him. His mom is going back to Japan, so it would be nice if she had a good impression of me since I’m dating her son.
