Chapter 65

Eliana’s POV

I heard what happened between Lana and her father, but I didn’t want to meddle because Lana might get mad at me more. I’m still at Justin’s apartment. He doesn’t want me to go back to my apartment alone because it’s still dangerous. I was mad when Justin told me about Lana’s plan to pay a guy to hurt me just to frighten me. Imagine how traumatic it would be for me if it happened. I was mad, but I started to pity her as well.

I went to Justin’s apartment, and he wasn’t home yet. I decided to take a hot shower to ease my tiredness from class. When I finished, he still wasn’t around, so I started cooking our meals so we could eat when he arrived and he wouldn’t have to wait.

While I was cooking, my phone rang. It was a video call from Wendel. I happily answered his call and showed him what I was cooking for Justin and me.
