Chapter 7

While the ladies cleaned the kitchen, I went outside and cleaned up after my grilling yesterday, collected Jeri's and my clothes from near the spa, and brought them inside. I gave Jeri hers so she could get dressed and tossed mine in the dirty clothes hamper. I waited outside the room until she was dressed before going to get my clothes.

Before she left the room, Jeri said, "I rather like your lady friends. They're interesting people."

"What about Phillip?"

"I'm not sure yet. I haven't had as much time to talk to him, and it may be his peculiarities get in the way of getting to know him."

"All the more reason to spend some time with him."
