Chapter 19. In His Arms

When he saw Penelope again, he felt as if time had stopped. His gaze was fixed on her. She is a goddess who has fallen from heaven, not an angel.

As he hugged her, his hands trembled. "I'm pleased to see you, Penelope," Lucas remarked. His heart began to race. He hugged her from behind as if it were the final time he would do it. He leaned into her. "I missed you so much, and I'm sorry Love," Lucas said quietly.

Penelope was surprised when Lucas hugged her. "What's that, Lucas?" she said with a grin. He looked the same when she first met him. Lucas grinned slightly.

Lucas turned toward her and grinned. When their eyes met, they began to look at each other. Penelope muttered, "God, you're cute, Love," but Lucas did not hear her.

Lucas's face changed; he looked so worried now. He held Penelope's hand while taking a deep breath. " I'm sorry, love, for not responding to your message.
