Mia suspected Rodriguez to have poisoned the food.

“I have a little problem, I can't feed Lux” Rodriguez said shakily.

“Why father?is there any specific reason?” Mia asked narrowing her gaze.

“Don't give me that look Mia, I can't feed birds and I'm scared of the beak” Rodriguez blurted out.

Jacob burst out into a fit of laughter. He couldn't believe what he just heard, if a man as fearful and dangerous as Rodriguez could be scared of feeding a bird perhaps he wasn't so dangerous after all.

“What do you mean you are scared of the beak, infact come and I'd show you how it's done” Mia said.

“Well, it's not that I can't…” Rodriguez was interrupted from the nonsense he was ranting by Mia.

“Father! Relax and let me teach you how it's done” Mia said frowning.

“No, I should keep it on the table I have important things to discuss with Jacob” Rodriguez said as he hurriedly placed the food on the table.
