Chapter 51. Drinks

Amara reclined in the cozy corner booth of the dimly lit lounge, her gaze fixated on Nathan. The soft glow of the hanging pendant lights cast a warm halo around him, emphasizing his ruggedly handsome features. His unruffled demeanor was a breath of fresh air, and Amara found herself drawn to his magnetic presence.

Nathan’s smile, with just a hint of mischief, was indeed charming and mesmerizing. It had a way of melting her worries away, at least for the moment. Yet, despite the delightful evening she was sharing with Nathan, her thoughts kept drifting to someone else—the enigmatic Ethan.

Ethan, sitting just a few feet away, appeared utterly uninterested in the flirtatious banter between Amara and Nathan. He sipped his drink with deliberate slowness, his gaze seemingly fixed on the amber liquid swirling in his glass. Amara’s annoyance grew with each stolen glance she cast his way. Sarah’s tricks, it seemed, were falling flat in her quest to pique Ethan’s interest.
