Chapter 31. Damon's Apology

DAMON’S POV

The next day, Ryder is all set to go back out there and continue his mission. Now, he has two missions: finding Colton and then finding the vampires.

“I’m counting on you, Ryder. I’m sorry I can’t be there with you two.” I say to Ryder as I prepare to bid him goodbye.

“You can. You just don’t want to because you’re occupied with things you consider more important now.” Ryder states.

“Ryder…” Ryder holds up his hand cutting my sentence short.

“It’s okay Damon. You don’t need to justify yourself. Besides, it’s good that you’re here. There needs to be someone to keep the order in the castle and if all three of us go on a hunting mission, who’s going to take care of things here? You should be here. You need to watch over Reece. And Morgana.” Ryder states and my eyes widen at the mention of Morgana’s name.

“So, when did all this start?” Ryder asks with a raise of his brow and a smirk.

“What do you mean?” I ask him feigning ignorance.
